Looking back at Tomorrowland’s previous collections, I couldn’t help but being amused but definitely pleased by how the thirty nine years Japanese brand has evolved since launching internationally three years ago. The shift, from a slim to oversized silhouette, quite nicely demonstrates Tomorrowland’s unique talent to still grow while remaining true to its essence. Colors and patterns have always been important elements, complementing or breaking the monotony of the season with panelings, stripes or bold contrasts. This season explores even further with these energizing indigo and yellow accents, larger stripes, panels and stronger color blocking, all on this newly amplified silhouette. While you can still point out its origins, somewhere between East London and retro Parisian chic (think AMI meets AGI & SAM before they turned streetwear), this season has a very Japanese flavor thanks to their unique and eccentric way of mixing the most uncommon trends.
