PLACES: CASA LEVER
Located inside the Lever building, Casa Lever holds the largest Andy Warhol private collection outside any international museums. Originally designed by Marc Newson who created an edgy yet elegant twenty-first-century look with a chic retro vibe and refreshed in 2009 by NYC firm William T. Georgis Architects, Casa Lever is home of almost forty Warhol paintings from his portrait series, including some of most famous past and present New York royalties (Giorgio Armani, Robert Mapplethorpe, Keith Haring, Jerry Hall, Dennis Hopper, Stallone and Rudolf Nureyev), all part of the legendary Studio 54.
Executive chef Domenico Natale creates an elevated menu ranging from classic Italian recipes such as cuteléta alla milanese, traditional breaded veal with wild rucola, tomato and parmigiano reggiano to more modern fare like sea urchin linguine, with Santa Barbara sea urchin, king crab meat and pepperoncino.
