We are at this time of the season where everyday is Christmas. The new collections presented 6 months ago are finally available. I’ve picked 8 pieces from my favorite designers from London, Milan, New York and Paris: Raf Simons, Jil Sander, McQueen, Gitman Brothers, Lanvin, Givenchy and Valentino.
RAF SIMONS – PRINTED LOOPBACK COTTON-BLEND JERSEY SWEATSHIRT
Raf Simons invited LA based artist Brian Calvin to create few prints for his collection. Probably influenced by Mark Rothko, they managed to infuse poetry. Gorgeous.
RAF SIMONS – PRINTED LOOPBACK COTTON-BLEND JERSEY T-SHIRT
GITMAN VINTAGE – PRINTED COTTON SHIRT
I just love it. Gitman Vintage is the one brand really dedicated to find such unusual prints. More styles are available.
JIL SANDER – SLIM-FIT HEPTAGON-PRINT COTTON SHIRT
Not polka dots, but HEPTAGON dots! Modern, bold, graphic, très Jil Sander. Advise: wear it with white jeans and black dress shoes or white Converse All Star.
MCQ ALEXANDER MCQUEEN – SLIM-FIT BEETLE-PRINT COTTON SHIRT
A sophisticated tie dye print mixed with a beetle. X-static.
LANVIN – DOT-PRINT COTTON CREW NECK T-SHIRT
I’m always surprised to see camo everywhere season after season. And I’m even more surprised to see really cool pieces like those 2 t-shirts. Lanvin offers an original interpretation when Valentino - who based an entire collection on camo - stays classic but with a neon touch
VALENTINO – CAMOUFLAGE-PRINT COTTON-JERSEY T-SHIRT
GIVENCHY – AIRPLANE-PRINT LEATHER-TRIMMED BACKPACK
I couldn’t make this selection without including Givenchy. The retail price is impressive, but it’s for Ricardo. Right?
